Special Date and Location Update
Dear Campers,
Greetings to all planning to attend Eastern Camp 2024. We thank God first for His provision over the years (since 1947!) for us to have a special time together in worshiping the Lord, studying the word, and simply fellowshipping with one another in the name of Christ. Our goal as advisors is to do the best we possibly can, with the Lord's help, to make Eastern Camp a gospel-centered experience with the secondary benefit of some creature comforts. Our long tenure at EMU has been an enjoyable one with many special memories made over the past 23 years, however, it appears that we have reached the point for us to move on from the EMU venue.
We have recently been informed by EMU leadership that we have outgrown their campus and that the size of our group is too difficult for the EMU staff to manage going forward. There were other challenges we faced, but the fact that we would have needed to drastically limit the attendance at camp was a heavy weight on our shoulders. We had the conviction that God was closing a door for us with the faith that He would open another. Since that realization, the advisors and business staff have vetted over 60 campuses and traveled many miles to determine which campus is best for our group. We have searched for a venue that best suits our needs in terms of July 2024 availability, auditorium capacity, dining room capacity, number of classrooms/lecture halls, housing accommodations/capacity, free-time offerings, and affordability. Indeed, we feel that God has been working in our efforts and we have settled on a new venue for 2024 and the foreseeable future. Looking back at our fall meeting, God led us to present the campers with the theme of "Behold, I make all things new" but we didn't think it would be with a new camp location!
It's clear that God has led the way for us to have Eastern Camp at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. This venue is updated with an auditorium that seats 1500, large dining room with outdoor seating, plenty of lecture style rooms for singing/forums, and suite style accommodations for adults/ families while offering traditional dorms for teens. Susquehanna has plenty of green space for our outdoor offerings, a large gym for recreational activities, and is in a secluded location so that we can have the campus to ourselves as we have been accustomed to experiencing.
As with anything new, there will be some changes to expect moving forward.
Please consider the following changes for 2024:
Many of you will have questions and as we iron out the details, more information will be shared with you all. We have a long road ahead as we transition from one venue to another and are in great need of prayers so please keep the Advisors, Business staff, the various committees/volunteers in prayer that God's will would be the main driver of our actions.
In Christ,

Please consider the following changes for 2024:
- Dates: Eastern Camp will be moved to the week of July 21-27 with plans for 2025 moving back to the original week.
- More streamlined registration process with new software
- Rates: We have been blessed with a very affordable camp due to a 10-year contract with EMU that locked in pricing. Our new campus rates will have to include the 10 years of inflation and the upgraded facility. Price for ages 0-7 years old will remain at $0 plus the registration fee and the other rates will increase approx 30%.
- Location: Travel for those by car will be reduced for most campers
